10 advices for anger management

 

On community member's request, we are posting below the 10 advices for anger management that Br. Imad Sheikh discussed in his halaqa on 2/10/2012.

 

  1. Say AuzuBillahi Minushaiytaan Nirajeem.
  2. Remain Quiet.
  3. Sit down or lie down.
  4. Focus. Focus on controlling your anger. La tughdud "do not be angry" Focus on what they are saying rather than your own emotional energy.
  5. Train yourself to control your anger. Forbearance comes through training.
  6. Forgiveness. Forgive who just provoked you.
  7. Ihsan. Be so generous in your forgiveness. Control your anger, then forgive, then He loves those who are generous in their forgiveness.
  8. Look and observe yourself when you’re angry. When you get angry, look in the mirror.
  9. Make wudhu.
  10. Make duaa even when you’re not angry. 
 

 



 

 

Both aaaathe prayers will be held in the ISGL Masjid.
