Asalam Alaikum,
I am writing because of a concern i have. I tried to call to get help for a friend whose husband passed today and the extensions are useless. there is nobody on the other side to answer urgent calls. the school box is full. the o extension has noone to answer. How does one in desperate need such as requiring help to arrange for a funeral get someone to help out immediately. I live in Boston and my friend who is 61 lives alone in Nashua and has nobody to help her out. Her husband has been in a home due to Parkinson's disease for a long time. She is not financially well off and desperately needs guidance and help.
please call me if you can help us out. my name is farida and my number is 6175014188

What are Ruling on the call to unite all religions
Praise be to Allaah Alone
and peace and blessings be upon the one after whom there will be no more Prophets, and upon his family and companions and whoever follows them in truth until the Day of Resurrection.
The Standing Committee on Academic Research and Issuing Fatwas (al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah li’l-Buhooth al-‘Ilmiyyah wa’l-Iftaa’) has examined the questions which have been submitted to it and the opinions and articles published and broadcast in the media concerning the call to unite the three religions of Islam, Judaism and Christianity; and the call which stems from that, to build a mosque, a church and a synagogue in one place, on university campuses and in public squares; and the call to print the Qur’aan, Tawraat (Torah) and Injeel (Gospel) in one volume, etc.; and the conferences, seminars and meetings on this topic which are being held in the east and in the west. After studying and pondering the matter, the Committee issues the following statement:
(1) One of the basic principles of belief in Islam, something which is obviously a basic principle and on which all the Muslims are agreed (ijmaa’) is that there is no true religion on the face of the earth apart from Islam. It is the final religion which abrogates all religions and laws that came before it There is no religion on earth according to which Allaah is to be worshipped apart from Islam. Allaah says (interpretation of the meanings):
“This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islâm as your religion” [al-Maa’idah 5:3]
“And whoever seeks a religion other than Islâm, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:85].

I am interested in visiting your Mosque in order to learn more about Islam and about your community. I am a reform Jew by birth and practice intermittently (when I have found a community of spirit.) I am currently a member of Temple Emmanuel of the Merrimack Valley in Lowell. I met Mr. Farook Taufik, a member of your community, at our Rabbi's recent installation ceremony. He suggested that I attend prayer services at your mosque one Friday afternoon. I will try to be there tomorrow. If not, hopefully in near future. (I am also interested in interfaith communion. I am currently involved with the Cambodian Buddhist community through participation in the temple on Quigley St. in No. Chelmsford) I wish to learn as much as I can about the power of faith to promote human welfare, peace among peoples, and to preserve Mother Earth, our shared home.

There is no information on this, just the location, date and time.
Is there a fee? Will there be activities for the children?
More information would have been helpful in determining whether we should make the trip to lowell..

John Zachry ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ): Pastor
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I want you to know of my horror and disgust at the threat from a Christian pastor in Florida to burn copies of the Holy Koran. I believe in and advocate freedom from fear and freedom of religion and feel those things, rather than the actions of this pastor, reflect the true spirit of my Christian faith. Hate in any form has no place in our nation or in the relationships among different religions.
You should know you do not stand alone in this difficult and divisive time. I will be, and already have begun, denouncing hate and the planned burning when I speak to my congregation.
Peace to you,
Pastor John Zachry
