ISGL CYBER SAFETY AND EDUCATION PROGRAM

As the next episode of Community Enrichment Programs at ISGL, inshaAllah on Saturday February 24th, 2024 we present an internet security program targeted for our community.
The program will be presented by our own community member Shaheen Abdul Jabbar, a cybersecurity expert and a dedicated volunteer with the Center for Cyber Safety and Education, a notable charitable foundation under ISC2, globally recognized for its contribution to the cybersecurity profession. The Center is committed to educating vulnerable groups about cyber risks, facilitating access to cybersecurity careers, and aiding small organizations in safeguarding against cyber threats. A key initiative of the center is the Safe and Secure Online program, designed to educate young individuals, parents, and the elderly about safe cyber practices.
In the Center’s efforts to reach out to diverse communities, including those underserved and underrepresented, they conduct presentations on cyber safety. These are tailored for different age groups: 11–14-year-olds, parents, and senior citizens. They offer these educational sessions in various settings, such as schools, community groups, religious organizations, senior centers, and more.
