Our Imam

Introduction

Imam Umar Farooq Mahmood spent his early life in Miami, FL and his journey to pursue the knowledge of Islam at the age of 14, in Pakistan. By the age of 16, he had completed the memorization of the Holy Quran and over the course of 10 years, Shaykh Umar studied a broad array of academic subjects. Shaykh Umar has served as an Imam (in the US and Canada) for over 15 years and he has held multiple Ijazah to teach different Islamic Disciplines.

Imam Umar has joined ISGL in January 2023 and is actively engaged in leading the ISGL Muslim community.
