The Islamic Society of Greater Lowell is a mosque in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, which also serves as a center for lectures and social activities, including a weekend school. The mosque was established in 1993.

 

The organization has been established to fulfill many purposes. The first and foremost purpose is to serve as being a place for the worship of Allah (SWT). It is meant to be a place for Islamic Education and all other activities related to fulfilling the commandments of Allah (SWT) and the sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), for the Muslims residing in the Merrimack Valley.

 

ISGL is a Religious, Educational, Non-Profit, Charitable and Tax-Exempt organization. It is to provide religious services, burial arrangements, marriage ceremonies and religious education to the Muslims in the Greater Lowell area. It also stands to promote a better understanding of Islam in America.

 

ISGL also receives and maintains funds to apply all or part thereof and the income therein from time to time for religious, educational and/or humanitarian purposes. This includes (but is not limited to) assisting the Muslim students and their families during their stay in the United States of America and help them fulfill their religious and humanitarian needs. The organization also serves the purpose of acquiring and maintaining a place for Islamic Education for children and adults.
