New Masjid Cleanup: Final Push

Alhamdulillah, we are at the final phase of renovation work. There will be multiple targeted activities involving clean up, moving and final setup. For this weekend the activity is to clean the building thoroughly for final inspection. Just like last Ramadan we will need good number of volunteers to finish this activity. Even if you can spend just 30 mins that will be very helpful also.
Saturday and Sunday:
Jan 26th and 27th 2019
9 AM- 12PM
Please take note of the following:
- Wear full sleeve
- Wear closed toe shoe, possibly work boot or hard sole
- Wear eye protection, if you have
- Wear face mask, gloves
- Please bring broom/mop, if possible
- Please bring bucket, if possible
- Please do not go upstairs without someone from Building committee accompanying you. There are floor boards removed and the area is not brightly lit.
- Please do not use the front/back entrance to remove heavy items
- Please do not play with the electrical panel/hvac/thermostat/scissor lifts
Planned Work:
============
1) Cafe Area
- Clean the floor
- Arrange furniture
- Thoroughly clean the toilet area
- Put the weather stripping on doors
2) Main Hall
- Clean the floor
- Roll the tarp to a side
- Remove the metal/wood benches to storage area
- do not put back the ceiling tiles in the corridor, we need this to remain open for inspection
3) Women's Restroom/Wudu/Adjacent area:
- Clean the area
- Hang compliance/safety signs
- Arrange items in small room
- Clean the carpet, dust off etc.
- Put back ceiling tiles
4) Aluminum Doors (storefront, vestibule, side entrance)
- Clean the doors using cleaning solution provided (do not scrub using rough material)
5) Men's Area
- Hang compliance/safety signs
- Clean the floor, toilet bowl, wudu area
- Put back the plastic cover on clearout
- Dust off the closets (inside and top)
6) Squash court:
- Clean the area
- Clean the floor
7) Storage Area
- Clean the floor
- Arrange items in a way so that there is a path in between (this is a Fire Dept. requirement)
8) Deck
- Arrange items
9) Upstairs
- Clean the area
- Identify dangling wires and make note
- Remove metal pieces and arrange in a corner
- Put back furniture into small office upstairs
- Clean the small room adjacent to stairs
- Put compliance/safety sign on stairs and doors
10) Outside
- Clean any big items from the entrance area
- Put the boom lift in a good location
- Lock the doors of shipping container
- Remove debris from ADA path
If you find any metal screw do not throw it away rather collect those in a corner and notify one of the person in charge.
